The bottling line

Once the Tokor plant is running, every bottle will go through filling, capping, labelling and packing into cartons before distribution across S&R’s markets.

Overview

The beverage business trades and distributes today and is moving into production: S&R is building its bottling plant at Tokor, near Denu, in Ghana, and its output will move into S&R’s markets across West and Central Africa.

Owning both ends matters here. Production will give S&R control over cost and availability, and the distribution network gives it a route to market that does not depend on a third-party wholesaler. Gabon, Togo and Benin all carry established alcohol trading businesses, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo is being prepared as the next market for distribution.

Tokor, Ghana: under construction.

S&R is building a bottling plant for its alcoholic beverages at Tokor, near Denu, in Ghana’s Volta Region. Production, storage, offices and a truck yard sit together on one site. Construction is under way.
